At the top of the plateau on the rim of the canyon
overlooking the World Heritage listed Springbrook National Park

We are at the top of the plateau, on the rim of the canyon, only 2km from the dead-end of Springbrook Road. 45 minutes from Surfers Paradise (take Exit 80 from the M1). 90 mins from Brisbane. If coming from the south take Exit 80 from the M1 to come via Mudgeeraba and Exit 69 to come via Nerang. If coming from the north take Exit 79 to come via Mudgeeraba and Exit 69 to come via Nerang.

Not far after number 2700 Springbrook Road, turn left at the "Canyon Lookout" sign. Follow the sharp left hand bend then continue into the "No Through Road" section which branches to the right along the canyon rim. We are approx 300 meters down from that sign. Travel safely, the roads are bendy and narrow in places.

From the lookout in front of our homely cottage, enjoy the World Heritage magnificent cliff-lined panoramic views, stretching down the rain forested canyon and 120 km out to sea. Begin walking the Twin Falls Circuit (rated one of the top ten short walks in Australia) from this lookout. The 4 km circuit takes you behind Twin Falls and Blackfellow Falls headwaters to the creeks and rivers that carve out the rugged landscapes as they flow through mossy, black volcanic river beds. Swim in cool fresh rock pools or picnic under a spring fed waterfall as you wander around the circuit and enjoy ending up back at our front door.
